Despite a life-long passion for Hip Hop, Dego began making beats only relatively recently. Inspired by the American producers of his youth, but always with his feet rooted firmly in his South London upbringing, Dego decided to make music his priority, and has been steadily building a following in the industry ever since.

The recognition and success that Dego has achieved in his relatively short time in music production, is a testament to the consistent quality and versatility of his work. It is no accident that he has now become firmly established as one of the UK’s hottest producers.

From the start, Dego has demonstrated a natural ability to make the process of piecing together beats seem effortless. His creations are inspired and unpredictable, but always meticulously crafted and infectious. From thunderingly apocalyptic dirty south hits, through pulsating, futuristic grime tracks, to slick and glossy R&B crowd-pleasers; Dego’s versatility is key to his popularity.

Early on in his career, his ingenious use of samples earned him the title ‘Sample King’, flipping even the most unlikely snippet into the epic backdrops for his work with Frantic Frank and The Kraftsmen, and subsequently WhyLout?, where Dego began perfecting his art.

Soon after, Dego was reunited with Face, and the Black Piranha movement was born, bringing together a family of collaborating artists from across London, the UK and the World. In the years that followed, Dego has worked in collaboration with some of the biggest and most esteemed artists in UK Hip Hop, as well as building up a following across the world. His most recent projects include tracks, mixtapes and albums with K Koke(USG), MA, PDC, Teflon, Skwilla, Big Narstie, Goodfellas, Squeeze4Ps and Benny Banks. In addition to his unmistakable talent, it is his humble nature and unrivalled work ethic, which have made him a firm favourite among other artists.
